TENS Unit

Relieve pain and chronic pain. A TENS unit sends electrical currents to the targetted part of the body. The electrical current gives a tingling or buzzing effect on the skin. Electrical impulses reduce pain signals going to the spinal cord and the brain. The TENS unit is safe and non-evasive form of therapy. Known to relieve sciatica pain. Used in moderate to severe cases of neuropathy. TENS unit is used to avoid or reduce drug therapy. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS)
treat the following conditions:

  1. period pain
  2. labor pain
  3. postoperative pain
  4. joint pain
  5. neck pain
  6. back pain

Remember because everyone is unique we will experience different level of pain relief from TENS or any other pain reliever. Again I am sharing what works for me. I have had many surgeries and share what I've learned over the years.

Unhealthy weight is cause for health conditions including but not limited to High blood pressure Type 2 Diabetes Heart Disease and Stroke. Disease immobility disability even premature death can be prevented.

Healthy Spine Healthy Body Reduce Pain According to Summit Orthopedics. The combination of weight related risks can cause a range of damage to the spinal discs and other structures:
  • Risk of degenerative disc disease increases 30 to 79 percent over time when overweight. 
  • As discs compensate from pressure of extra weight discs herniate cause sciatica.
  • Too much weight can result in ruptured or slipped discs. Damage compresses spaces between bones in spine cause pinched nerves and piriformis syndrome: muscles spasms cause pain and can irritate sciatic nerve.

Sciatica Pain Progression


Sciatic nerve pain ranges from uncomfortable to debilitating. Symptoms make it hard to sit stand and walk. And pain is progressive.  Don’t wait until symptoms don’t let you get through the day. Allow me to explain what to look for. But first…
Sciatica has been reported to occur in one to 10 % of the population most commonly in people age 25 to 45. 1
Sciatica can be felt through the entire lower body. Life becomes increasingly challenging. Pain typically progresses in the lower back into buttocks back of the legs and into feet. Symptoms are usually on one side of the body. But both sides can be affected. Maybe you know someone in discomfort or agonizing pain. 2
·        Traveling and shooting pain
