Medicare now covers some of the costs of chiropractor service adds credibility
"A 2002 study of patients with nonspecific neck pain found that pain was reduced and function improved for 68.3% after seven weeks of chiropractic care, while the success rate for those in the care of general practitioners was only 36%. The patients of chiropractors missed work less frequently and needed less pain medication."1

The increase acceptance of chiropractic by medical community is evidenced based research. 2 The spine is the foundation of function, mobility and the central nervous system. Body breaks down as we age. Age progression comes natural degeneration and inflammation. The body declines naturally with age. Degeneration starts at 40.

A study published in The Spine Journal reviewed multiple studies and found spinal manipulation, commonly utilized by doctors of chiropractic, is an effective option for chronic low back pain, reducing pain and disability compared to exercise and other strategies. Another study, this one published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, concluded that lower back pain patients who received chiropractic care were 55 percent less likely to fill an Opioid pain prescription than patients who did not receive chiropractic care.

Inflammation and Chiropractic

Inflammation is the enemy. Pain is often caused by inflammation from natural degeneration of the body. Aging causes inflammation naturally. And natural degeneration begins at 40. No one’s immune. Pain erupts when the body goes out of whack. When the structure gets misaligned. When the spinal column gets damaged. And the central nervous system is compromised. And don’t discount earlier illness disease or injuries. Even childhood trauma of any kind. Chiropractors are highly educated. Certified. Most states require a bachelor’s degree in the sciences to meet chiropractic college prerequisites. Thereafter future chiropractors obtain their four year (D.C.) degree from a handful of accredited chiropractic schools in the country. Most programs include an internship or clinic to practice under the supervision of a licensed chiropractor. All states require chiropractors to have a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and pass a certification exam. In addition many chiropractors choose a specialty such as sports injuries or geriatrics. Or combining neuropathy with chiropractic treating nervous system and back pain conditions. More study. Additionally continuing education is required for annual license renewal in most states.
